High Frequency Words

High frequency words are those words that are read in story after story or text after text.

The following suggestions will help your child/children to recognize these words easily.

Ask the child to find the word in a passage.
Ask the child to use the high-frequency word in a sentence.
Ask the child to write a short story in which they use each of these words in a sentence. Then high-light the word used.
Ask the child to act out the-high-frequency word.
